Does anyone know how to add the "Submit" and/or "View" under the Main Title of a Canvas page as seen in the photo below? I know how to add point values and due dates, but I cannot figure out how to add the words themselves. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi @KEdwards8 ,
That screenshot looks like a student view. Those labels are added automatically based on the Module Requirements.
Are you the instructor? You can make those labels show up by setting Requirements for the Module.
How do I add requirements to a Module?
Hi @KEdwards8
The screenshot shows the student view of a module, with links to two different kinds of things, which you can identify by the icons.
The two links that say "Submit" are linking to Assignments (see https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/What-are-Assignments/ta-p/9 ). If the assignments had due dates, those would also be shown, along with the points and the "Submit".
The link that says "View" is linking to a Page (see https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/What-are-Pages/ta-p/5 ).
The current placement of the "Submit" button creates a "slip" in user behavior where habit-clicking "Next" leads to an accidental final submission. I think Canvas could easily fix this by: Moving the Submit button away from the navigation buttons (maybe above the question instead of below it) and/or Adding a "Confirm…

This is my first time using the new discussion "checkpoints". I'm hoping the multiple due dates are effective, but using the "checkpoints" does seem to create other problems: They only allow for ONE "reply to topic". The way I use discussions in some of my classes is to allow for students to ask MULTIPLE questions per…
