Please add the ability to move from assignment to assignment for a single student in speed grader. It is EXTREMELY time consuming to grade multiple assignments for 1 student if work is submitted for that student. Thank you!
@LL24J ...
Unfortunately, you've posted this in the Questions area of the Canvas Community website. However, I do have some better news for you. An Idea that seems very similar to your request has already been submitted, and you can find it here:
[SpeedGrader] Ability to move through all assignme... - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
As you'll see in this Idea, it is part of a larger Theme called:
Make grading more efficient and effective - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
I'd encourage you to follow both of these topics so that if/when the voting window opens for these, you'll be able to participate in those conversations. Here's a bit more info for you about the voting process:
I hope that this information will be helpful to you.
Dear all,
Same request came up in our institution, alas links to both the Idea and the Theme now show "Page Not Found, The page you were looking for could not be found.".
Does anyone have current info on this request?
Kind regards,
Tonnie
Hi there, @TonnieBeheer …
I replied to you in another topic, but I will post something similar here for those that did not see the other thread. The entire Canvas Community website recently received a new upgrade/look using a new platform. During this transition, the Feature Idea process has been put temporarily on hold while a new process is being developed by Canvas Community Managers. You can read a bit more about this at: Your Community, Refreshed - Instructure Community (check out the last paragraph of the section "Your Voice, Your Community"). Unfortunately, I do not know an exact timeline as to when the new Idea process will be available for all Community members. Hopefully soon, though.
I hope this info will be helpful to you in some way.
Hello @Chris_Hofer,
Thanks for the feedback, I am aware the website received a new look. Unfortunately this resulted in a lot of dead links and items (like Ideas) that we are unable to find. It almost looked as if we were going to start from scratch.
By coincidence we had a meeting with Instructure EMEA staff yesterday in wich Institutions were asked for input on upgrading the grading proces. I contibuted "Speed Grader ability to move from assignment to assignment for one student" and was pleasantly surprised. Instructure plans to work on upgrading the visible parts in Speedgrader after they finish the current background upgrades on speed and effiniency and this option will be among that. Knowing changes from Instructure can take some time I will not hold my breath, but still, a positive development.
Hi @TonnieBeheer …
Great to hear that you got some good news about work that is progress for SpeedGrader updates!
Yeah, the existing Feature Ideas are not completely gone. The Community Managers still have them stored away until a new process is put in place and made available to folks like you and me.
Have a great weekend!
Instructure has recommended that my institution use You-Attend instead of Roll Call Attendance. I'm having a hard time finding information on it in the guides. Does anyone use You-Attend? Any advice, recommendations, or resources to share?
Our college would like to disable the Core Canvas tool "Syllabus" by default, so that it automatically doesn't show on Course Navigation menus. Is that possible? A fellow admin asked our CSM about disabling Syllabus by default, but the CSMs may be understandably busy at the moment. Below I rounded up some past comments…
Does anyone have suggestions for bulk aligning questions at the quiz level, not the item bank level? I don't know much about API keys, but would one of these work for a bulk alignment? We have a school that is preparing for accreditation next year and they must get their quiz questions aligned to outcomes. We know they…
The most recent quizzes and question banks (including renames) are not showing up as options in the Course Import Tool. As I was creating a new quiz in one course (Classic), I went to add the questions from the Question Bank, but what I needed wasn't there. I went back to the other course to make sure everything was…
In the wake of the recent Canvas security incident, many instructors are rethinking how they protect their course materials and ensure continuity for students if the LMS becomes unavailable. A common question we’re hearing is how to effectively back up courses “just in case,” especially with an eye toward re‑distributing…
