How do I add a phone number to get into Canvas?

Can you clarify what you're trying to do? Generally, you'd have a username and a password to log in to Canvas. The only time a phone number might come in is if your school has what's called "multi-factor authentication" turned on which requires you to verify logins, usually through a mobile device. If your school does have this enabled, you'd want to reach out to them to find out the steps for setting it up, as it will vary from school to school, and we in the global Canvas Community don't have access to that kind of information.
