Show students which assignments are dropped

As it is now, assignments that are dropped show to the students as a slightly lighter font color. However, if students do not complete an assignment that is then dropped, the font color doesn't change at all and it shows as "missing" in red. Why not just change all dropped assignments to "Dropped" instead of "missing"? This would make it so much more obvious for students and reduce the number of questions to the instructor semester after semester.

I don't have an "answer" for you, but I am replying to say that I am 100% in agreement with you about this and have submitted ideas similar to yours in the past. I'd encourage you to submit this as an idea following the How do I share a contribution (formerly Idea) to the Collaborative Roadmap guide too. The more people who submit an idea, the more likely it is to get looked at.

I hope Instructure makes some changes to this, even if they are different than what we are suggesting. The slightly lighter font color for dropped assignments is hard to see even when we know it's there.
