In my experience, that usually means that either your web browser (like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc) or operating system (windows, MaOS, Android, etc) are not updated. I'd suggest trying all of the update functions you can find for your browser and operating system to see if that resolved the issue. You could also try a different web browser if you have one available.
Let us know if this helps to get you into Canvas without it flashing.
