Class Code for Parents

Question

My child brought home a class code for Canvas. I have already signed up for Canvas last year. I was informed by a teacher that if I already have Canvas then my child’s new class, for this new school year, will automatically be put in Canvas without me having to use the class code. I do not see my child’s class on my Canvas Dashboard. What do I need to do?

Hello @TerrieRoberson and welcome to the Community!  Is the child that gave you the note the same one you followed last year?  If so, your teacher is correct that their course should be there.  If not, you will need to use the code to connect with this child.  Maybe these links will help:
