Unpublishing an assignment

Hello, As the professor, if I have dropped an assignment such as an exam that is worth 100 pts. and 

"unpublish" the assignment, does this remove the point value of that assignment so that it is not counted in

the total for all assignments that were part of the course?

Hi @GeorgiaMacris,

The short answer is that yes, unpublishing will remove the grades/points form the overall calculations in the course.  For better recordkeeping and transparency to students, it may be better to check the "Do not count this assignment towards the final grade" option when editing the assignment to accomplish that task though.
