create icon

I have two questions:

1. as a free account in instructure canvas site, can I have capabically to create icon in the Rich Editor content tool? if not, does I need to purchase it?

2.As an instructional design at my university, I am not admin, how can I have an create icon tools at Rich Editor content?

I checked my own Free For Teachers account, and the "RCE Icon Maker" feature option is not available. The reason for this is that in a paid Canvas account, the "RCE Icon Maker" can be turned on at the Canvas account level by a Canvas administrator. It is either enabled for everyone or disabled for everyone. Since there is no administrator functionality in the Free For Teacher version of Canvas (which is what you have indicated you are using), you would not have the ability to enable the "RCE Icon Maker". If you are wanting to create icons for your course, you are going to need to do that using other means...such as designing images offline with graphics editing software...or using a website like Canva (not the same as the Canvas LMS).
