Sometimes in Canvas a thing will seem so obvious to me that I wonder what I must be missing.
As currently programmed:
"New Quizzes [will] direct to the 'Quizzes' index page when you click 'Return.' But if Quizzes are hidden, the Return button will take you to Assignments index . If that's also hidden, the Return button will take you to the course home page." ( e.g.: https://myschool.instructure.com/courses/#######/quizzes )
It seems apparent that the smoother workflow would instead take you to the Assignment page for the Quiz you have just been working on. (e.g.: https://myschool.instructure.com/courses/#######/assignments/#######/edit?quiz_lti)
Why does it not work that way? Could it? Thanks for any enlightenment you can provide.

Can I second this? Nothing is more obnoxious than creating a quiz, then having to go back through my entire (very long) list of quizzes to find the one I just built so I can assign it to my students. PLEASE change the return button so it will redirect me to the page where I set the due date and publish the quiz!
Is there a reasonably straightforward way to get a list of all missing assignments for a given student in the current term across all of their classes rather than within a single class? It's simple to do it within a given class by going to the table in Course Analytics and sorting by assignment status, but it would be…
It would be great to see the averages or any statistical information on the total columns in Canvas. As it is, we can only see averages after opening up the speed graded for individual assignments. Or that is all that I have found so far. I know we can download a CSV file but those are not interactive and kept up to date…
SpeedGrader's PDF viewer doesn't allow more than a few zoom out steps for any PDF, but it's especially an issue for PDFs that have large dimensions in the PDF file's header. This shouldn't be an issue except that one of the most accessible ways to scan a document into a PDF, Apple Notes, creates PDFs that have massive…
Is there a way for me to create a rubric that shows BOTH points and a letter grade, while the Gradebook in both my view and student view shows JUST points? I tried setting up the rubric showing a letter grade in the grading scheme, and a letter shows in the Assessment box…but then my gradebook also shows the letter grade,…
