Hi im trying to upload a video (embedded) but the full screen appears in the reply box and instructor only wants the link how do I fix/change this? thanks
Why wouldn't your instructor want you to embed the video? It makes no sense to me that your instructor just wants a link. A link to what?
Please ask your instructor to clarify his or her instructions.
Hello @ClaudiaDavidson
It depends where the video is and how you're embedding it. Did you use the Media recorder/uploader when you uploaded the assignment? By default, that will create a real video for the professor to view. In fact, most ways to embed videos will create a thumbnail here with a real play button. If the teacher specifically wants a link, you may want to try uploading the video elsewhere first i.e. Google Drive, Youtube, etc. and paste that link.
Hi thanks for responding, he wants us to copy the link and paste it in the reply box, I followed the instructions listed in Canvas studio but when I click "embed" it pastes the actual video in the box. he wants us to learn how to share a link and that is what I'm supposed to submit not the "movie" if that make sense. thanks
Hi I figured it out. Thanks

Canvas needs the same Speedgrader tools available for Canvas Discussions. Highlighting, point annotation, text comments, strikethrough, area annotations, etc. This would make instructor feedback easier.
Hi, all! My organisation is looking into using IgniteAI Grading Assistance for SpeedGrader to support assessment marking. I would like to ask users who have actually started using this feature within their organisations: What are the pros/cons of the tool? How did it change your work flow? Would you recommend it? Looking…
I've been using Canvas for at least 7 years. In that time I often use the gradebook to enter grades, while looking through speedgrader on a 2nd screen. I have a mix of Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes. When grading quizzes with essay type questions where the student has to type answers the gradebook shows a piece of paper…
