I have one student out of alpha order in my gradebook and it is driving me crazy. I have reordered them alphabetically and changed the order multiple times, but when I go back to regular alpha order, he is still out of order,
How can this be fixed?
Hello @EstesSwilley
Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with ordering your students in the gradebook. It is likely your internet browser and we recommend clearing the cache and cookies or trying another browser.
In ChromeOn your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click the three dots Click settingsOn the left, choose Privacy and SecurityThen, clear browsing dataAt the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time. I suggest at least 4 weeks Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.Click Clear data.
If that still doesn't fix it, it may be how the student's name is listed? They are in alphabetical order and while you can change how the gradebook displays the students, there isn't a way to re-alphabetize them in the gradebook directly.
If you still need help, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution:

Yesterday, after much trial and error…I concluded the new quizzes matching choice options do not work as I expected, and have used with other LMS. I thought that I could provide students a matching choice quiz with multiple attempts that would report incorrectly answered matches on the first attempt, and display the…
I have seen documentation that says you must recopy your iCal link and resubscribe when you are enrolled in new classes, does this mean my iCal feed link changes each time, or do i just need to re-fetch the .ics file?
We use course pacing to manage due dates, because we run ~20 something courses each quarter and manually setting due dates would be a nightmare. Several courses have two core topics. We want to allow students to choose which of these they will pursue first. Is there any way to configure multiple course paces with different…
