How do I import a grade sheet from a previous version of a course?
Hi @DanielCarson,
Can you clarify what you mean by a grade sheet? If you're just trying to get columns in the gradebook, you'd need to import the assignments from the pervious course shell to the new one: How do I copy content from another Canvas course u... - Instructure Community . If you're trying to transfer actual grades, that's going to be much harder, as Canvas isn't really designed to do that. If the new course had the exact same students enrolled as the old course, you could theoretically import the assignments as I indicated below, then do a gradebook export in the old course and import it into the new course. This would only transfer grades and not any comments, submissions, etc though, and I'd really recommend against going this direction.
I hope this helps a bit, but let us know more details and we can try to offer some additional help if needed.

I've got some experience with HTML and have found some explainers on how to do this, but it doesn't seem to work. Does Canvas presently support sortable…
I teach middle school and my students have recently discovered the ability to play the "what-if" game with grades. They are now obsessed and are playing with it all the time. I'm not sure that this is the right place to post about this, but I was wondering if anyone has a fix for how the scroll bar for the entire page covers the scroll bar for just a document viewed in Canvas. The scroll bar for a document will stay visible until one attempts to interact with it, at which point the bar for the…
Hi There, We are in the process of transitioning to Canvas this year and were wanting to connect with any other MYP schools to see how you setup Assignment and grading under your modules. Or you could guide us to any resources you may have.
After using Canvas for a while, I picked up a small habit that’s saved me some last-minute stress with written submissions. Even when drafts are original, longer explanations and summaries tend to reuse common phrasing, especially in research-heavy assignments. Before submitting, I usually do a quick cleanup pass to reduce…
