Instructions for a machine (for example Lasercutter)

Is there a way to create simple instruction documents for students to follow. For example Lasercutter/3D printer guides or creating a  simple book with a printer? Including Images? I thought I will make a course for this guide but maybe there is a easier and other way specially made for this?

Hi @Jelle_Heuver ...

Canvas does not let you create documents (files) similar to Word documents or PDF files like you can do in an offline setting via your computer.  However, in Canvas courses, you can create content pages if you wanted to do that.  You can add whatever content you want to those pages...similar to how you could design a Word document or PDF file.  The difference is that the content page in Canvas is saved in the course...sort of like a HTML page.

• Modules Overview (Instructors) 

The first two videos should give you a good start to how you can create content in your course.  Then, if you wanted, you could use the "Modules" index page to design an ordered layout of how you wanted people to go through your instructions.

Of course, as I mentioned earlier, you could create all of your instructions in Word or as a PDF file.  Then, you could upload those files to content pages in Canvas for others to view.
