I have a final exam in 20 minutes and I cannot access the course in Dashboard. It's telling me the course is not published. Who is responsible for publishing the course?? Can I access it another way? Ugh....
Hi @LisaMacvicar ...
Sorry to hear that you are having difficulties accessing your course in your school's Canvas environment. Unfortunately, Canvas Community members can't open up your course for you because we don't have access to your school's Canvas environment or your course(s). Typically, your instructor is the one responsible for publishing the course. If you cannot access your course (because it is not published), this also means that all your classmates cannot access the course, either. If you can reach out to your instructor via e-mail or phone, that would be the best route to take. Otherwise, you might need to get your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Education department or your school's Canvas administrator involved to see what they can do.
Good luck to you!

A course site isn't visible to students until the instructor manually publishes the Canvas site. If the semester/term has already started and you are definitely registered for the course, contact your instructor and ask them to publish the course.
Hi everyone, It looks like the multiple rubric idea has bounced around a bit with the different feature request methodologies over the years, including a mention in New & Next 2024 according to this post, interviews in the enhanced rubrics features group, being listed as "under consideration" on the new roadmap, and this…
I recently had an exam provided as a Canvas Quiz in my class, and used some questions copied from question banks from other sections and prior years of the course. Some of those questions had "General Answer Comment" text already saved in them. I changed that text in several questions as I updated/changed the questions.…
I would like to suggest improvements to how collaborations function within Canvas LMS. Currently, collaborations are somewhat limited in how they can be accessed and integrated into course content. One potential improvement would be allowing collaborations to be directly linkable within Pages and Modules. This would make…
We are using the Learning Mastery Gradebook with an rubric on account-level. When we enter the gradebook, the sorting does not make any sense. How can we make the sorting so it makes sense to us. It feels like a randam sorting.
Can Canvas please create the option to use a "total points" system such that both the gradebook and the student grades page can show accumulated total points, not as a fraction of total points earned/total points possible? This would be SO helpful for progress tracking in a self-paced course where I do not want 0s entered…
