1EdTech posted relatively new standards for LTI 1.3 Third-Party Cookie Solution: https://www.unicon.net/insights/blogs/the-solution-for-third-party-cookies-in-lti-1.3-has-arrived
Does Canvas support these relatively new LTI 1.3 standards?
If not, wondering about when Canvas plans to support these new LTI 1.3 standards?
There's some initial work on supporting the new standards and the references to them are in the Canvas API documentation:
https://canvas.instructure.com/doc/api/file.lti_window_post_message.html#org-imsglobal-lti-put_data
https://canvas.instructure.com/doc/api/file.lti_window_post_message.html#org-imsglobal-lti-get_data
These should make it possible to support a LTI 1.3 login without cookies as outlined in : https://www.imsglobal.org/spec/lti-cs-oidc/v0p1
Although at the moment the canvas implementation has a prefix of 'org.imsglobal' on it's message subjects.

We have recently encountered an issue where two students were unable to see the "Take the Quiz" button. These students were taking different exams for different courses within our Testing Center. Both exams required Respondus LockDown Browser and were restricted to specific IP addresses. In both cases, the students were…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
