Question

I have been trying to add a link to my syllabus within the first module.  Thus, I want to click a link and have it navigate to the syllabus page.  When I use a iframe, I still get the side bar twice.  Is there a way to remove the side bar within an embedded page feature?

Given that you can enable Syllabus to appear in the Course Navigation Bar, it would be redundant to put a link to it in your Modules.

To direct students to it, consider creating a link or a button in your Home Page.

Are you wanting a link to your Syllabus directly on the "Modules" index page?  There isn't a direct way to link to the Syllabus from that page.  However, as an alternative method, you can create a content page and then make a link to the Syllabus page on that content page which points to the Syllabus page.  But, that may create an unnecessary page that you may not want for the course...extra clicks, you know?

Have you considered making your "Syllabus" page the first page your students see when they log in to your course?  That would be another option for you.
