Is there a way that I can post the same comment to all student submissions for an assignment? I'd like to do this all at once, rather than using the comment library every single time, if possible.
Many of our teachers are asking for this as well. Teachers who use standards based or give numrous retakes would find this very beneficial
Good morning @CeciliaWhite and @bontomasin ...
In doing a quick search here in the Community, I found the following discussion topic that has a handful of suggestions: How to give all students the same comment... - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).
From @KristinL:
I know it's not the same as an assignment comment, but using the Message Students Who... feature from the Grade Book or New Analytics would get an individual message to everyone who submitted. While not attached to the assignment in the same way as a comment, it would save you a lot of time. Here's the lesson that illustrates the steps: How do I send a message to my students from the Gradebook?

From @Stef_retired:
when I was teaching, I used [edited to add: the free version of] Phrase Express—Autotext - Boilerplate Template Manager - Text Expander—for this purpose.
From @chadscott:
Another option to look into would be Annotate Pro - It works across Canvas, Google Docs, etc. and is completely free for teachers. Annotate PRO | Overview - 11trees

I have a student enrolled in a course who has been able to access content with no problem. But yesterday she was suddenly unable to log in, and that has continued. She tried to change her password, but Canvas never sends her an email with a link to change it. She also has stopped receiving announcement emails. What's going…
Yesterday, after much trial and error…I concluded the new quizzes matching choice options do not work as I expected, and have used with other LMS. I thought that I could provide students a matching choice quiz with multiple attempts that would report incorrectly answered matches on the first attempt, and display the…
I have seen documentation that says you must recopy your iCal link and resubscribe when you are enrolled in new classes, does this mean my iCal feed link changes each time, or do i just need to re-fetch the .ics file?
We use course pacing to manage due dates, because we run ~20 something courses each quarter and manually setting due dates would be a nightmare. Several courses have two core topics. We want to allow students to choose which of these they will pursue first. Is there any way to configure multiple course paces with different…
Hoping someone can explain for me. We're using pacing to avoid manually dating regular assignments each quarter, but the dates I see are based on when the course was instantiated, while students see dates based on when they were added to the course by [backend software I don't know anything about, presumably]. If I set…
