Has anyone had difficulty getting the 3 dots on the module page to work? I'm trying to edit and delete some of the pages. I can usually do this by clicking the 3 dots, but they don't always work. Any ideas?
Hello @thall14
Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with using the three dots in Canvas. It is likely your internet browser and we recommend clearing the cache and cookies or trying another browser.
In ChromeOn your computer, open Chrome. At the top right, click the three dots Click settingsOn the left, choose Privacy and SecurityThen, clear browsing dataAt the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time. I suggest at least 4 weeks Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.Click Clear data.
If that doesn't work, have you tried another browser, device, or even wifi? If they still aren't working as intended, you should speak with canvas support.
Because of the complexity of the issue, and the concerns for privacy, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution:

Hello everyone...
I was recently made aware that Instructure is aware of the issue, and it looks like they are planning to deploy a fix for this on October 12, 2022 ... per this document:
3 Dots / "Kabob" on Modules and Assignments index ... - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com)
...so, please hang on just for just a few more days, and hopefully things should be resolved on the 12th.
I'm also having this issue on multiple devices and in both Chrome and Edge. Have tried re-installing the browser and problem remains. (Seems to be working ok in Firefox at the moment).
This issue continues in all browsers.
However, a workaround appears to be refreshing the page with Shift+F5.
In our district, we have a few teachers who are experiencing this issue still. Using a different browser is not a solution, since our teachers are using Chromebooks.
Clearing the cache has not worked to resolve the issue.
In addition, level 1 Canvas support seems completely unaware that this is a known issue (even though the "fix" posted here instructs people to contact Canvas support). We need a true fix for this situation!
I have read through and tried all of this. Three dots are not working in chrome. No matter what I do. It works in firefox however this is not convenient and doesn't seem like a real solution to the issue. Canvas....can you address this as your solution, clearing cache and cookies does not solve the issue.
Several teachers in my district were able to fix this issue by disabling all of their Chrome extensions.
We are still investigating to see which extension was the culprit, but at least this is a workaround for now.
I'm also seeing that when the 3-dot menus stop working, so does student view. Trying to access student view gets a "page note found" error message. These two problems are clearly connected.
I have recently setup the Canva for Education Integration with our Canvas instance. We are noticing that if teachers create Assignments using the External tool from their Blueprint course that students who submit their assignments are running into issues. Teachers are unable to see their submissions via the Speedgrader and…
Our college would like to disable the Core Canvas tool "Syllabus" by default, so that it automatically doesn't show on Course Navigation menus. Is that possible? A fellow admin asked our CSM about disabling Syllabus by default, but the CSMs may be understandably busy at the moment. Below I rounded up some past comments…
Does anyone have suggestions for bulk aligning questions at the quiz level, not the item bank level? I don't know much about API keys, but would one of these work for a bulk alignment? We have a school that is preparing for accreditation next year and they must get their quiz questions aligned to outcomes. We know they…
The most recent quizzes and question banks (including renames) are not showing up as options in the Course Import Tool. As I was creating a new quiz in one course (Classic), I went to add the questions from the Question Bank, but what I needed wasn't there. I went back to the other course to make sure everything was…
In the wake of the recent Canvas security incident, many instructors are rethinking how they protect their course materials and ensure continuity for students if the LMS becomes unavailable. A common question we’re hearing is how to effectively back up courses “just in case,” especially with an eye toward re‑distributing…
