As a student, can we receive a notification when a new course is made available on our Canvas? I don't want to receive a notification for all material added to a course - just when a new course is made available or opened up by the instructor.

As far as I know, there is not a notification for when a course opens. That would be a once-a-course notification, so there isn't as much to be gained there as some of the other notification types.
When I open my courses, I immediately send out a message to my students, letting them know that the course is now open and welcoming them to the course. Not all instructors do that, however. In that case, about all that I can recommend is to log into Canvas daily, which is a good practice anyway.

When you are creating a quiz and/or also reviewing a quiz in Canvas after the class has taken it, the questions aren't numbered so after you get past the first few questions, there is no way to even tell what number you are on. Can someone change that?
