I open my instructor’s video (uploaded in modules) and it plays on a safari. (I am using my iphone for study). The video progress bar on the bottom covers the bottom part of slides that my instructor goes over. I hope it does not cover the ppt slide, so when I stop the video I can still see the whole pic of the ppt slide.

Have you considered downloading the Canvas Student app instead of the Safari web browser on your iPhone? I'm not sure if that would remedy the issue you have with the video, but it's worth a shot. Also, do you have an iPad you could also try this on? The iOS Canvas Student app also works on the iPad. Here is a Guide on how to download the app:
