Hello community. I would like to export all of the submissions for assignment that required URL submissions, but in table form. Downloading submissions using speedgrader only downloads submissions as individual links I want a table with containing all students (submissions or not) with their first and last names and URL…
I use Peer Reviews extensively. I teach photo and digital art across many sections. The functionality needs to improve around sections. I find it very difficult that I cannot at the very least sort or filter students by section in the peer review panel. Manually assigning 50 kids is awful. Has anyone figured out a…
I've discovered that many of the teachers at my school are posting Google Docs or Sheets with their assignments and descriptions to their homepages rather than individual assignments. Many are hesitant to use the assignment feature due to the tedious nature of creating a new 'assignment'. I was hoping I could create a .csv…
Our "Outcomes" has not been working for about 6 months. Teachers can't build and attach Outcomes to new quizzes. Canvas said it was a rollover issue. Canvas won't fix it unless we pay them $2000 to "re-train" us for 10 hours. Has anyone had this problem and did it get fixed?
We are a fully-online college and have a zero-credit New Student Orientation course on using Canvas and our other tools before each of our terms. As we started prepping it for Spring, we discovered that all the "how to" videos that Canvas had offered on topics like changing your profile image are now error 404. Where would…
Each week has the same pattern of assignments, but the assignments for each topic aren't fungible. reading/quiz → writing assignment → hands-on task → inspection report I'd like to allow the student to choose which topic they want to work on each week, but I need to figure out how to get those assignments on their…
My institution purchased 24/7 Canvas Helpdesk Support. I want to create a report that summarizes support ticket topics, volume by time (i.e., busiest months for tickets, etc.), and resolution rates. If your institution has requested a similar report, please let me know.
I am currently teaching a high school Spanish course, and many of my assignments use the fill-in-the-blank question type in new quizzes. The problem that I'm encountering is when a question requires a special character, such as an accented vowel (examples include: á Ó or ü) or the special letter ñ (which is a different…
Greetings, Our institution has recently acquired Canvas LMS and I had a question related to the third-party tool Respondus Lockdown Browser. When the tool is installed at the institution level, the tool requires one of the placements to be in the course menu. Is there a way to restrict from this tool being automatically…
Hey Canvas Community, Quick question about restricted words in the Gradebook export/import. When I export the Gradebook CSV, make edits, and re-import, it seems like some terms are not allowed (example: “Final”). • Does anyone know the full list of restricted/reserved words for Gradebook CSV import? • And if there’s an…
