I was looking for a tool that lets me see all discussion posts made by one student throughout a term but I couldn't find a discussion post aggregator tool. Is there a way to do that? (I tried checking in Settings; also tried using People to see if I could get to posts under a student name. No luck.)
Hello! When we have a student withdraw from study we conclude the enrolment but don't do anything with the assignments. This is causing some issues as they appear on other reports as outstanding assignments to be marked. We also don't want the teacher to have to go in and mark partially completed assignments. Is there…
Hi all, I'm looking to see if this has happened for anyone else. A student completed a Classic Quiz and one question was counted wrong that should not have been. In the quiz settings, the instructor entered 9 possible answers for this question. The student entered one of these answers. However, that particular question was…
Hello Community! I am seeking a function or tool that enables instructors to automate weekly messages to learners, which include a list or summary of the feedback they received throughout the week. I hear from students and other instructors that feedback gets "lost" in Canvas, especially when there are multiple assignments…
Hello, I am setting up a course in Canvas with various different assignment groups that are weighted by different percentages in the "Assignments" tab. I have also split the class into two STUDENT groups, let's call them Group A and Group B. Question: Is there a way to weight the assignments differently for these two…
We have a teacher who is not receiving email messages in Canvas because she has not previously verified her email address in Ways to Contact. We have had her verify her email address several times, but no confirmations appear in her email, neither in her inbox, nor in her spam filter. We know that she has a working email,…
When a student is provided two lessons for an exam in which an essay response is required as part of the quiz, it would be nice if the work they did in the first lesson appears in the essay box for the second lesson. Is there a way to do this? Build on Last Attempt does not provided this.
Looking for the addition of partial credit for alternative format questions in Canvas, like ordering and category/matrix. We can only do it in close drop down, matching, and multiple response.
Hello! I'm helping faculty set up outcomes and we are wondering how to align multiple program-level outcomes to a senior capstone project. I apologize if I've missed something obvious. We're not very far into implementing outcomes, but I haven't found an answer after searching the community. Thank you!
One of my assignments defaulted to the grades not being visible. Meaning no student can see the comments I left for them. How can I change that visibility? I don't want them to see each other's grades, just their own.
