Our "Outcomes" has not been working for about 6 months. Teachers can't build and attach Outcomes to new quizzes. Canvas said it was a rollover issue. Canvas won't fix it unless we pay them $2000 to "re-train" us for 10 hours.
Has anyone had this problem and did it get fixed?
We haven’t run into that exact “rollover” issue, but one angle worth checking is permissions.
At my institution, for example, teachers don’t have any access to manage Learning Outcomes at all. That permission is restricted to Canvas Admins, who handle creating, updating, and archiving Outcomes centrally. We then push those Outcomes into courses via Blueprint courses to keep things consistent across sections.
Because of that setup, faculty can still use Outcomes in rubrics for grading, but they can’t create or attach new ones themselves. If something in your permissions changed (especially around course copy/rollover or role updates), it could explain why teachers suddenly can’t build or attach Outcomes to new quizzes.
More broadly, Outcomes can be really difficult to scale in a decentralized model. In my experience, a centralized approach—where admins manage Outcomes and distribute them via Blueprints—is the only way to keep things stable and consistent long-term.
So it might be worth double-checking:
If this turns out to be permissions-related, it may be something you can fix internally without needing Canvas to step in.

It would be great to see the averages or any statistical information on the total columns in Canvas. As it is, we can only see averages after opening up the speed graded for individual assignments. Or that is all that I have found so far. I know we can download a CSV file but those are not interactive and kept up to date…
