Module Prerequisite Use Case

Let's say I have a course organized into weekly modules. It's a synchronous, online course, in which students have a week to watch each lecture and take an attendance quiz. To help ensure that students keep up with their attendance quizzes, I use module requirements/prerequisites so that they have to complete the attendance quiz to unlock the next module.

In some of the modules, there are other assignments such as reading quizzes or an essay. As an example, let's say the Week 2 Module has an attendance quiz and a reading quiz, and the student can't access the Week 2 Module until they've completed the Week 1 Module attendance quiz. Let's say the student has not yet taken the Week 1 Module attendance quiz. If they try to access the Week 2 Module reading quiz by going to the Quizzes tab, will Canvas let them take the reading quiz even though they haven't taken the Week 1 Module attendance quiz, or will it block them from taking it until they complete the module prerequisite?

@TBaggenstos Welcome! They won't be able to access anything Week 2 Module (including the quiz) without completing all the requirements in the Week 1 Module (assuming you've set up requirements and pre-reqs correctly).

While the Quizzes tab will show all the quizzes in the course, and students can click on the quiz (as if to start a quiz), they will be blocked since the pre-reqs were not satisfied. Hope this helps!
