Problem importing courses with new quizzes

A teacher is having problems with importing a course to new semester. It appears to import correctly, but the new quizzes all arrived with no questions or other content. Unless you go to Build, you don't know that they aren't perfectly fine. The first import didn't share the item banks with the course either. Trying a different shell, the item banks did share with it, but some quizzes still came through with no questions. Tried doing a few modules at a time, and most new quizzes came through ok but not all.

Instructure support is aware. Has anybody else had this experience? Or has anybody had any type of problem with importing?

There is now an answer for this behavior. If a new quiz hasn't been edited in some number of years (in this case about 4), the LTI data including questions seems to get disconnected from the quiz in Canvas. To fix it, in the source course the teacher must visit the Build page, which "wakes" up the connection, allowing it to correctly transfer to the new course using Import or Copy to.

This was a bit shocking to learn. I hope they will fix this behavior, perhaps refresh the LTI quiz data/connection on a regular basis? Having to do this every year for 30+ quizzes is a lot of work. The teacher has beautiful new quiz questions with images, stimuli etc and didn't need to edit because the content hasn't changed.
