Bug: Attendance Roll Call sorts students out of order if names use all caps or all lowercase

I couldn't find a place to report a bug after a fair bit of searching. Is there a better place to put this? If you have any idea, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Observed:

Students in Attendance Roll Call do not appear in alphabetical order. Names that are in all caps or all lowercase are not alphabetized properly. Example: "SMITH" appears before "Seger", and "aragon" appears after all other names that start with a capital letter.

Expected:

Students in Attendance Roll Call are arranged in alphabetical order regardless of the casing of letters, similar to how they appear in the Gradebook view.

I am not sure of your role but I think that you are an instructor/professor. I believe this issue would need to be reported directly to Canvas Support (not posted in the Instructure/Canvas Community) so that they can review it and elevate to their engineers/developers/programmers.

Do you know if your institution allows end users (faculty/student) to reach out directly to Canvas Support? If they do, you should see contact options (such as email, phone, or live chat) in the "Help" area of Canvas.

If your institution does not allow end users to reach out directly to Canvas Support or if you do not know, I would recommend that you contact your institution's internal Canvas team. They would then be able to escalate this to Canvas Support.
