For some reason I cannot get the fill in the blanks to trigger the dropdown. I have cleared my history, tried typing the question, copy and paste from the example. I cannot figure out why the options are not showing in the dropdown.

I also tried copying/pasting the example into a classic quiz question just like you did, and everything seems to be working as expected for me:
Have you tried just typing in the text with the square brackets instead of copying/pasting the example text? Have you tried making up a different question altogether with bracketed text? What about clearing your browser history/cache? How do I clear my browser cache and cookies?

When you are creating a quiz and/or also reviewing a quiz in Canvas after the class has taken it, the questions aren't numbered so after you get past the first few questions, there is no way to even tell what number you are on. Can someone change that?
