I am creating assignments in my assignments files under daily work and quizzes, and I am trying to make it more organized by grading weeks and want to know if there is a way to create a sub file in the daily work folder
Hi @ClydeMorgan ...
I'm not 100% sure that I understand some of the terminology you are using. When you say "assignments files under daily work and quizzes", are you referring to the "Assignments" index page of your Canvas course? (How do I use the Assignments Index Page?) And if so, by chance to you have assignment groups called "daily work" and "quizzes" on your "Assignments" index page? (How do I add an assignment group in a course?)
I'm also not quite sure what you mean by "sub file". Are you asking if you can create assignment groups within assignment groups? If so, that is not possible in Canvas. Or, are you asking if you can somehow indent the names of assignments within assignment groups on your "Assignments" index page? If so, that is also not possible.
Maybe it would be helpful for you to provide a screenshot of your current setup with more of an explanation on what you'd like to be able to do in your course. This might give us here in the Community a better idea of how we can assist you.
Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
Hi @ClydeMorgan,
@Chris_Hofer replied back to you on Saturday, October 11th (the same day that you asked your questions), shared some information with you, and asked you question for some follow-up information.
Would you still like help with this?

I recently discovered an error in a quiz question for an exam my students have already taken. I want to regrade that question so that anyone who had that question in their Quiz would get a point regardless of their answer since it was not possible to answer it given the choices. Unfortunately, as best I can tell, because…
I assigned the first draft of an assignment. Each student got rubric comments from me and from one peer. The Speed Grader view gives me a "Select Rubric" menu, allowing me to toggle between my comments and the peer comments. But the Gradebook's "Bulk Download Rubrics" command generates a CSV file with only the peers'…
Hi all, I'm looking to see if this has happened for anyone else. A student completed a Classic Quiz and one question was counted wrong that should not have been. In the quiz settings, the instructor entered 9 possible answers for this question. The student entered one of these answers. However, that particular question was…
Looking for the addition of partial credit for alternative format questions in Canvas, like ordering and category/matrix. We can only do it in close drop down, matching, and multiple response.
Has anyone found gaps in their course analytics ? I'm currently seeing missing last view date, last participation date, and participations at overall course level, even though the same data is present at individual week and student level. Am also seeing truncated asset counts ie we are seeing only the global header counts,…
