Accessibility: Tables Adding the Title (caption) to Beneath the Table instead of Above

Good morning,

I am running into an issue when trying to make accessible tables. I attempt to add a caption to the table, which shown in the community post Table Accessibility in Canvas ,  should appear above the table.

 

In my attempt to add a caption, though, it is appearing below the table. 

 

Has anyone encountered this issue, and if so, were you able to fix this? Thank you for reading!

Hi @JordanGarciaNAU,

I just tried this in our instance starting with a blank page, inserting a table, defining the header row, then adding a caption.  When I followed those steps, the caption area went to the top of the table as expected.  I'm wondering if you possible have a table within another table or other HTML element that is confusing things.

If you could post the full html code here (I know it may be long), someone may be able to assist.  Alternatively, perhaps try to recreate your table from scratch in the editor and see if things work as expected at that point.
