Merge student enrolments in 2 or more classes

We have had Year 11 2024 students who are now in Year 12 2025 and have been created in both courses, the same course but a newer version. Is there a way to transfer or merge their information into the 2025 course? If we can have all the enrolment docs and assignments from 2024 merged into the current 2025 course it would prevent the confusion of information over two different courses.

You can merge all existing enrollments from the 2024 course into the 2025 course through cross-listing. How do I cross-list a section in a course as an instructor?

You can import all existing content from the 2024 course into the 2025 course by going into your course's home page OR settings page, clicking on Import Existing Content on the right-hand side, and then in the dropdown menu select 'Copy a Canvas Course'. Then, all of the content from the old course will be added to the new course, in addition to the already-existing content from the new course. How do I copy content from another Canvas course using the Course Import tool?

I hope this can be cleared up. I believe the classes I was enrolled have different versions and I was merged in between courses. When I go into the files if I am logged on a different browser I can access some of the files. Some of the emails say they are from an outside source. The amount of confusion this has created has been frustrating. What can I do as a student to prove that the courses and assignments have been changed on the educators end?
