Easy method to access video submission assessment for staff

This seems like a "no brainer" to me, so not sure why it is as challenging as it is. I have staff who have video submissions in Canvas that they need to access as they are required as evidence for moderation. Accessing these videos seems to be challenging. Previously, these could be downloaded when the video was playing, but obviously this has changed. There does not seem to be an option to access these without getting your hands dirty inspecting web pages and using embed links. Be grateful if anyone point me to a "teaching staff" friendly way to access our content so that it can be used outside of Canvas.  Totally get that the file formats Canvas may use for encoding may be problematic, but at least we would have the option to convert etc if needed.

While I don't have a solution for your teachers right now, I wanted to point you over to the Re: Are Student New Media Player Submissions Downloadable in SpeedGrader thread, which is basically the same question that you have.  The current product manager of Canvas Studio has responded in the comments area and is asking users about the use cases for downloading media. I think ti would be really helpful if you could reply to that comment and make your case.  If enough people make a strong case, maybe the download button will make a return!
