I teach Classical Greek online. Can I change to the Greek alphabet in quiz questions?
Greetings @regan ,
Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!
Are you by chance using Classic Quizzes or New Quizzes? With the classic version, you can use the RCE (rich content editor) to access the Greek alphabet. You are able to access these letters by clicking on the equation editor button, then click the 'Greek' tab and you'll have access to the entire Greek alphabet. When it comes to the new version, it doesn't seem that functionality with the Greek alphabet has been added yet. That being said, I'd stick to classic quizzes for now so the Greek alphabet letters work for you!
I hope this helps, always feel free to reach out with any additional questions or concerns!
All the best,Noah
Hello @regan,
After coming across a tool in the Canvas "App Center" called "Special Characters" that has been made (for free) by Wye Learning, as directed by their support article at https://www.wyelearning.com/support/characters, I emailed their support@wyelearning.com email addresse and asked that they review this post and react in a way that they traditionally do for requests like this.

I'm writing this question due to concerns regarding my students overusing AI in my classroom, which is directly in violation with my syllabus. This has been a problem for years, but recently has gotten out of hand. Since the new school year is around the corner, I'd like to know of any tactics or settings that disable AI…
I recently had an exam provided as a Canvas Quiz in my class, and used some questions copied from question banks from other sections and prior years of the course. Some of those questions had "General Answer Comment" text already saved in them. I changed that text in several questions as I updated/changed the questions.…
I would like to suggest improvements to how collaborations function within Canvas LMS. Currently, collaborations are somewhat limited in how they can be accessed and integrated into course content. One potential improvement would be allowing collaborations to be directly linkable within Pages and Modules. This would make…
We are using the Learning Mastery Gradebook with an rubric on account-level. When we enter the gradebook, the sorting does not make any sense. How can we make the sorting so it makes sense to us. It feels like a randam sorting.
Can Canvas please create the option to use a "total points" system such that both the gradebook and the student grades page can show accumulated total points, not as a fraction of total points earned/total points possible? This would be SO helpful for progress tracking in a self-paced course where I do not want 0s entered…
