Is it possible to check if an individual sessions' quiz submissions are being changed by an instruct

I am doing some research and trying to see if there are any viewable logs for admins that may indicate that an instructor has changed a student's quiz answer submissions as the student was taking the quiz in Canvas. Would this be possible?

Hi @mrenk,

I've been a Canvas admin for almost 11 years now, and to my knowledge there is no way for a teacher to alter student quiz answers.  Canvas is, in my opinion, very good at preserving student work/submissions and ensuring they are not altered.  I do wish Canvas had some more logging (without using Canvas Data 2), but in this particular case there would be nothing to log since I don't believe alterations are possible.  If I'm mistaken, I'm sure someone else will chime in and let us know though.

Hi @mrenk,

The only remotely close items that I can think of are:

* the "Gradebook History" feature (information found at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-view-the-history-of-all-grading-changes-in-the/ta-p/783) to see if an instructor changed a grade (which I know/understand is different than an instructor changing a student's submission, which I do not think is possible)
* the "Quiz Log" feature to see if a student changed their answer(s) unintentionally (while using their arrow keys or mouse's scroll wheel or changed/deleted their answer(s) for either a fill-in-the-blank style question or essay question)* the "Quiz Log Auditing" feature option needs to be enabled (Canvas Feature Option Summary - Instructure Community - 531316)
