Hello Canvas Community,
I was wondering, can we use Canvas other than for school? Or are all the features for school rather than others? Please answer my intriguing question. 🤔❓
Hi @CallieAlreza,
Technically a learning management system (what Canvas is) or LMS is a specific type of content management system (what WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, or other website platforms use behind-the-scenes) or CMS.
This means that in theory, Canvas is a website platform that is meant specifically for educational purposes but can be used for other reasons as well. In its simplest form, in Canvas, you could simply create pages and upload files and never use the other features.
Does that answer your question?

This is my first time using the new discussion "checkpoints". I'm hoping the multiple due dates are effective, but using the "checkpoints" does seem to create other problems: They only allow for ONE "reply to topic". The way I use discussions in some of my classes is to allow for students to ask MULTIPLE questions per…
