student dashboard not able to change from list view

Question

Hello,

I'm looking to change my dashboard from list view to card view. I've searched the canvas guides to see how I'm supposed to be able to change the views, but I don't have the options menu. Did I somehow make the options menu disappear? If so, how do I get it back?

I've included screenshots in my post so you can understand what I'm talking about. If you need any more information please ask.

Hi @CandaceBrooks,

This may seem basic but I would recommend that you follow the instructions in How do I clear my browser cache and cookies?.

After that, I would then suggest that you make sure that your web browser is as updated as possible. There is guidance available at Update my browser | How to update your web browser. Your web browser and computer need to follow the minimum requirements posted at  What are the browser and computer requirements for....

If you continue to have problems, I encourage you to reach out to your school's tech support team.

HI Candace,

If you have resized your screen and tried a different browser (Chrome is the preferred browser for Canvas), you might want to reach out to your institution's Canvas admin. There is an Admin setting where the default view can be locked by the admin under Admin settings. See screenshot. Hope this helps.
