ps. I intentionally recreate my announcements each term. I do so as I want to personalize the announcement so it shows that I created it in the system and I want to be sure to set the Delayed Post dates exactly when I want them to be released. Doing so increases my confidence that students receive the notifications via their email. One 'trick' I use is to post images that are to appear in the announcements within my User files and not the course files. I also use the public embed code from Studio. Using these approaches ensures the images and video embeds aren't tied to the prior term course.
A native bulk editor for announcement dates is long overdue. I had been using a work-around that another user had come up with (via a google sheet that they kindly shared), but it is suddenly not working because it can no longer receive the announcement data from Canvas. Additionally, the link shared by Jeff_F above (https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Ideas/Announcements-Bulk-Editing-Options/idi-p/365006) is a page that cannot be found.
Did Canvas intentionally take away the only solution we had to this huge problem?
