I am a staff member at a college and an instructor in my department wants to show letter grades as well as percentages in the Total column of the gradebook. Is there a way this can be done?

You can definitely do this! You'll need to set up a grading scheme and apply it to the course so that the percentages get translated into letter grades. The guide I linked should walk you through the basic steps to do this, but feel free to reach back out here if you have any questions or run into any difficulties.

I have Canvas set to drop the lowest quiz score, however, my students can only barely tell that the grade text is slightly grey when dropped. Can it have a tag like the "missing" and "exempt" ones in the student gradebook?
