That looks like your Safari Apple Mail alerts. Not Canvas. And absolutely nothing to do with Commons on Canvas.

It'd be nice to be able to limit auto-feedback to section so that when working on feedback in class, your feedback is given by actual classmates rather than students in different sections. This would make it so that the students could ask their classmates questions about the feedback in person!
I think it would be nice to have the option to make the WYSIWYG editor the full height (instead of a fixed position when you open the assignment editor). Screen readers seem to read out the LaTex and not the equation.
Whenever possible, I prefer to have my students take in-class quizzes and tests on their laptops. But to make sure that they do it in the classroom, I've always put a password on the assessment and then given them the password. That way they can't take it somewhere else on their own (or somewhere else, not on their own).…
