In New Quizzes, there is a section where Marking Notes can be added. How does a teacher know that these notes exist. Is there a notification or icon that shows that there are notes entered?
When Students submit answers the grading notes will be visible to the teacher in Speedgrader as shown in this silly sample question I created. Note that in US English these appear as grading notes...
Hi @DanieldeSouza ...
In addition to the helpful information you received from @BrianLester, I wanted to share the Guide with you which has much of the same information that he shared:
How do I create an Essay question in New Quizzes? - Instructure Community - 980 (canvaslms.com)

Ours is currently in the form of an email that already exists, becoming a new user - and not automatically merging with the user ID with the same email that also is linked to our SIS ID correctly as well. For example, user 1 is xyz@gmail.com without a…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
I wonder if others have had this response, but I think it is troubling messaging for students that, no matter how well they may do on an assignment, they are given a signal that anything below a perfect score should be marked/denoted with a red color, as if those grades are poor, or even lesser. I think it is harmful for…
