We have a "newbie" starting in September - what's the best way to onboard/ train them up in Canvas? I've seen the Commons Course ... just wondered if there's anything else that folks have seen/ used that's had impact?
Hey @eileen_m_field ,
I'd say the best way to train a new user is not only to use courses you have access to via commons, such as Growing With Canvas, but also showing them what your school uses directly. If your school pays for Canvas, you may have things set-up differently than others, so it's important to sit down and actually show them what they will need to use, how to use it and how it works.
You can also introduce them here to the Canvas Community, and show them how to access the guides and forums if they have any questions or want to learn something new about the platform! Of course, there are plenty of videos and other resources either created by Canvas, or other Canvas users to reference as well.
I hope this helps!

I assigned the first draft of an assignment. Each student got rubric comments from me and from one peer. Hi all, I'm looking to see if this has happened for anyone else. A student completed a Classic Quiz and one question was counted wrong that should not have been. In the quiz settings, the instructor entered 9 possible answers for this question. The student entered one of these answers. However, that particular question was…
Looking for the addition of partial credit for alternative format questions in Canvas, like ordering and category/matrix. We can only do it in close drop down, matching, and multiple response.
Has anyone found gaps in their course analytics ? I'm currently seeing missing last view date, last participation date, and participations at overall course level, even though the same data is present at individual week and student level. Am also seeing truncated asset counts ie we are seeing only the global header counts,…
