Two ideas I think need to be in Media Gallery for the student portion. Allowing a student to title said video's (of instructors) to mark subjects or certain points in said videos would be extremely useful.

"Media Gallery" is actually part of a 3rd party integration with Canvas from a company called Kaltura. If you'd like to see modifications to hat system, you'll probably want to talk to someone at your school/institution (perhaps in the eLearning / IT / Digital Education departments) to let them know about your request and the reasons behind it. Whoever manages Kaltura at your school could then put in the feature requests if they agree the changes are important.
