I'm not sure if you've ever used Slack before, but Cidi Labs has a Slack channel, and I just joined today. Your question is actually similar to a question someone posted in their Slack channel a while back, and Kenneth addressed it there. You might want to also try joining the channel. The short answer is that DesignPLUS and New Quizzes don't integrate with each other right now.

Previously on the built-in rubrics, vertical view, the rubric items were collapsed. You could expand them to see details of each point value. As "Ideas" section is gone (at least for now), I'm posting a feature request here. Mobile app shows a list of students who have submitted or not submitted a quiz/assignment. Would be good to have this in web version as well as way to export csv.
