absent notation in gradebook

Question

Can you please add an ABSENT notation for the gradebook that goes along with Missing, late, resubmitted etc.  It would really be helpful and I see that there are a lot of different discussions over the years that ask for this feature.  Or make it available to customize in individual accounts/school wide.

Hi @SarahGandolfo,

I just wanted to pass along that as of late last year, your local Canvas team (usually in the eLearning / IT / Digital Education areas) can add up to three custom gradebook statuses in Canvas.  This should solve your need, assuming the Canvas team agrees with the need for that status for everyone at your school/institution.
