Do Quizzes Save for Students?

My exams are set up as quizzes on Canvas, students have a 48 hour window to take the test. I want to allow students to log out during the test and log back in and continue testing if they need to.

Do the Canvas quizzes allow for this? Will it save student's answers or delete them when they log out?

Canvas automatically saves answers as students go through the test, as long as the student's computer is able to connect with Canvas.  There are instructions for resuming a quiz if the student leaves in the middle at https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Student-Guide/How-do-I-resume-a-quiz-that-I-already-started-taking/ta-p/452
