I have either had several new students enter my classes recently or have their schedules changed to a different class I teach. How soon will rosters be updated to reflect those changes so I can begin issuing them grades?

This is really dependent on the school and how frequently they sync student accounts from their SIS (Student Information System) into Canvas. Some schools process enrollments almost immediately. Other schools only send enrollments a few times a day. Some schools may only send an enrollment file once a day. It really depends on the school. I'd encourage you to have a conversation with your school's Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Education team to see what that frequency is. They may work with the IT team at your school to make sure enrollments get processed in a timely manner. Hopefully you'll be able to find out an answer soon. Good luck!
