Video post not loading

I am trying to post a video response on a discussion board and the video I recorded just keeps continuing to load. I have done video posts before on this site and never had a problem. Any fixes for this?

I am sorry you are having issues with your video responses in discussions. There are a few things that can cause issues such as this.

How long was the video you are recording/uploading? Canvas recommends keeping recordings under 15 minutes because longer media recordings require more time to render and may be interrupted without a stable internet connection. Canvas will not accept media uploads larger than 500 MB.
Is your browser timing out during the upload? Typically if you continue to see issues such as this, it is due to an issue with your browser. I would recommend clearing the cache and cookies for "All Time." This should help give your browser a fresh new start. Here are the Canvas guides for MAC and PC.
Are you able to upload the recording while using an Incognito window or a different browser? HERE is the canvas documentation on the supported browser that can be used in the LMS.
Is your browser up to date? Using an out of date browser can sometimes cause the issue you are describing here.
Is your network capable of handling the media upload? You can run a Speedtest HERE. For Canvas, It is recommended to have a minimum Internet speed of 512kbps.
