We are to upload to our calendar. I do not know how to do this

You can add information to your personal calendar and subscribe to that Calendar in Canvas. If you use Google: How do I subscribe to the Calendar feed using Google Calendar as a student? or if you are using Outlook https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10578-4212710320
