Rubrics and points

Question

I often remove points from rubrics, but when I copy a rubric it automatically adds them in.  It would be good if Canvas kept the rubric the same - without points added. Sometimes I forget to tick the 'remove points button' when copying or reusing rubrics.

Sometimes, even though I remember to tick the "remove points button", it doesn't stick. The points show up on the rubric again the next time I visit that page, or when I toggle between student view and instructor view. How can I stop this from happening?
