I tried to post a discussion for my assignment. It's supposed to find a button 'add discussion" but I couldn't find it..

Thanks for reaching out to us within the Canvas Community!The ability for a student to add a discussion post within a Canvas course is a setting that must be enabled by your instructor within the course. If the Add Discussion button does not display, your instructor has restricted this setting in your course. I recommend reaching out to your instructor to have them enable this feature.

For starters, are you an instructor or a student? Generally speaking, students are not usually allowed to add discussion topics in a course. (Of course, there could be exceptions to this...and you'd have to talk with your instructor about this.) If you are an instructor, then you should be able to add discussion topics to your course.

While typing an Announcement, sometimes midway, we need to check something for which we click on Grades or Assignments. Then when we return to Announcements, what we types simply disappears. It will be very helpful to have a DRAFT option under Announcements so that the unfinished message is not lost.
