Last year I could sync assignments with no grades to powerschool. This year they will not sync unless I enter a grade for one student. How do I fix this?
Hello! I have synced ungraded assignments by doing the following:
1. Clicking "Grade Sync" Tab
2. Clicking "Utilities"
3. Clicking "Remaster Grade Passback"
4. Selecting the assignment that was having problems.
5. Clicking apply.
This may not work for everyone though! Also, sorry about number points. Used to giving instructions to middle schoolers.

Full disclosure...I've not use PowerSchool myself, so I don't have experience syncing grades from Canvas to that system. However, I wanted to share this link with you to the PowerSchool Guides here in the Community...in hopes that maybe one or more of these will be helpful to you. The Guides for instructors are listed at the bottom.

I'm sure that there will be others with more experience using PowerSchool will chime in here, so I'll defer to them for additional help. But, I wanted to give you these links just in case. Hope they help!
I have a ticket in about this but have not had resolution so far.
I am having this same issue in Infinite Campus. I believe the problem lies with Canvas, not our SIS platform of choice. This behavior is very time consuming since we have to manually categorize assignments in IC when they sync, but they only sync as students do them. Until recently, Canvas would let you sync the entire course from the start even when no assignments had been attempted by students.
My guess is Canvas is trying to reduce the load on their servers by only syncing grades that have been graded, but the result is very time consuming for teachers at my location, and one more thing we have to add to our daily list of stuff that should be automatic, like it always was in the past.
My school district has changed our required Learning Outcomes for all of our courses for this school year. How can I archive the 400+ Learning Outcomes we used last school year so they're still linked to our 25-26 courses but teachers can't use them in 26-27 courses going forward?
Hoping someone can explain for me. We're using pacing to avoid manually dating regular assignments each quarter, but the dates I see are based on when the course was instantiated, while students see dates based on when they were added to the course by [backend software I don't know anything about, presumably]. If I set…
Has anyone else had issues with an influx of duplicate users in Canvas? Ours is currently in the form of an email that already exists, becoming a new user - and not automatically merging with the user ID with the same email that also is linked to our SIS ID correctly as well. For example, user 1 is xyz@gmail.com without a…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
I have a student that was in a tag called "ac" and recently moved him to a different tag, "AC." I did ensure the old tag was removed; however on a canvas PAGE he sees both pages the "ac" and "AC" Canvas Pages. I removed the assigned tags to the page and the one tag to the student thinking maybe if I remove and reassign…
